Hillside Inn Fire
| | Fire Destroys Hillside Hotel; One Dead; 33 Others Are Safe | This city's famous Hillside Motor Hotel was destroyed today by a torrent of flame that claimed the life on one hotel guest and injured a dozen others. Thirty-three hotel guests escaped the inferno into 17-degree night air, many of them clad in night clothing or underwear.
